Now we can set ourselves a deadline now and multiple deadlines and forge ahead.  We can’t fail.  We have no choice but to keep going.

Another way of looking at it: “Inaction breeds doubt and fear.  Action breeds confidence and courage.  If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it.  Go out and get busy!”

Great words, eh?

September, then November…before you know it!

We can always fine tune our time managment skills. Like:

Get up at 6am every day!  This is pretty extreme, but if you want something bad enough, you will do anything to get it.

Don’t run around trying to do a bunch of things at one time.  Settle on one task and focus on that one task until it is done.  Otherwise, you may get nothing done.

No emails before noon, say a lot of successful people.  I think they are right.  That frees up the whole morning to work!

Complete your most important or most difficult task first.  Then it is done!

Pick 3 big tasks to accomplish today.  The little stuff always gets done.  It is the big fellas that seem to elude us.

Finally, write every day with honesty and conviction.

Thanks to Kim Roach for reminding us of this.  She knows success and this is how she did it!  You can do the same!

How can you make money on the internet?

Drive traffic to an offer!  Easy?  No!  Most people are not going to want to buy something from someone they don’t know and trust.  And if they do by something on a whim, they won’t be repeat buyers unless what you sell them is great, full of great content and really helpful to them.

There is no such thing as free traffic.  All traffic costs either time or money.  When the traffic you drive or attract lands on your blog or offer page, they still need to be enticed, convinced to pull out their credit card and buy.  That’s your job.  Find or create a great offer, write enticing copy, and put the technical aspect together, landing pages, hosting account, and so on.  Go for it!

Where is the easy money?

It is absolutely true that easy things quickly become boring!  Further, easy things don’t pay very well.  It is in the difficult where we find out challenges, our interesting life and our rewards!  Internet marketing is one of the most difficult things a person can start.  In the beginning of your IM career, you are overwhelmed, for sure.  Every techinical skill is a mystery, know only to the elusive few, apparently.

But by taking it one day at a time, one click at a time, day by day, your IM career comes together and gains momentum.  And you can start doing the happy dance more often!

The 2012 summer Olympic games were terrific, but they ended all too soon.  Just when the public was really getting engaged with following the games, finding ways to view the games streaming online, we watched the great ending ceremony, and that was that.

However, for us internet marketers, our participation in the internet is only just beginning.  The internet in definitely in its infancy, and a really experience internet marketer is one with two years experience!  This amount would be entry level in old, established industries like engineering, medicine or real estate.  But our industry is so new, we are still figuring out how to use the marvelous, infinite capacity of the internet.

So don’t be discouraged if you feel you have not mastered internet marketing.  No one has, although there is getting to be quite a few folks who are making a pretty penny marketing on the internet.  Find yourself a mentor, or 2 or 3, and have at it.  You will not be sorry; you will be rich, most likely.  Oh, and one more thing: the most important rule, and perhaps the only rule.  Never Give Up!

August is the most beautiful month in many ways, in the northern hemisphere.  It is a time of very warm weather which means lots of outdoor activities whether it is exercising or eating or both.  Our culture and our country tends to take a vacation, sometimes for the whole month.  But I suggest to you that you start early to ease back into the settember work flow, so that when the day after labor day comes, your motor will be firing on all cylinders!

The problems keep coming, but with every challange comes a victory, and no matter how small, a victory empowers us to go on to more and bigger victorys.  That is the name of success.  Constant challenges breed constant successes, one click at a time.

No one will become overpowered and quit working if all they have to do is take a picture of yourself and load it onto your computer.  Voila!  You have your gravatar, as in, a picture of you that you can use as your signature.  Another step of many, all leading in the right direction: forward, building your online business, again, one click at a time.

Now we are well on our way into August.  The hottest summer month always presents us the opportunity to chuck it all for now, and head for the mountains or seashore to while away the hours with wine and daydreaming.  But another choice is to start blocking out large blocks of time each day to work on what you need to be doing that you have put off long enough!

If you take efforts now to grow your list, you will be able to afford very nice vacations in the future.  Don’t let the summer heat lull you into a do nothing mode.  On the contrary.  Let’s get busy!

Summer Doldrums could mean Summer Profits

With hot weather here in the northern hemisphere, we again have a lot to be thankful for.  We are lucky to be able to enjoy our summer, green fields surrounded by rows of wildflowers after summer rains, lazy afternoons.  It is tempting to take a break, for the whole summer, perhaps.   But summer also presents us with many opportunities for marketing our services.  In this poor economy, it is tempting to thrown in the towel and forget the whole thing.

But the world goes on, with or without you, so the best thing is to prioritize your priorities, reschedule your schedules, and restrategize your strategies to meet the challenges coming your way and take advantage of the fabulous opportunities we are presented.

How to monetize your way through the labyrinth is a fascinating problem with equally fascinating solutions, many in fact.  Just do some brainstorming and creative solutions will rain.

Be thankful and rush to work!

We all have so much to be thankful for, all that we have really, which is, hopefully, good health, some savings although perhaps little, family and friends, activities,  hobbies, our love life.  The order of importance varies from time to time depending on circumstances and perhaps luck but the basic group is always there.  We are lucky to have what we have, and we are lucky to be able to be thankful for all of it.

Of course, we are lucky to be able to work, to work in internet marketing, where the potential is unlimited.  It might be frustrating sometimes, most work is.  That is why they call it work.  But work that you enjoy can be super rewarding.  I hope your work is.  So hop to it!

As we are all human, we are all prey to certain human emotions and frailties that are not really helpful: self-doubt, short bouts of procrasticationitus, a hickup of lack of faith, an instant of  questioning as to whether we are doing the right things with our lives.  One great help for everyone is to express gratitude.  In fact, the personal growth publishers, Mind Valley, have created a web site for that very purpose.

Logging on to every morning as their employees do, one has the chance to formulate clear thoughts and be really thankful.  This puts everything is a positive light, first thing in the morning.  What a way to start the day!  Like a good breakfast, good thinking can make the day go great.  A good beginning to anything is way more preferable to a so-so beginning.

In these troublesome times of economic crisis and the reality of our personal freedoms being eroded away, it takes a lot to be positive and cheerful, but a great attitude is necessary, desireable, and is the only way to live, I think.  Don’t you?
